People can get stressed for many reasons, financials, relationships, career, work, embarrassment etc. It makes you less productive, afraid and lethargic. Your mood tips towards sadness and defeatism all the time and you’d rather stay indoors with your cat in a warm blanket rather than socialize with people you may have once considered ‘friends’. So how to de-stress and Reduce anxiety?

People around you keep telling you it is your life and you should be able to take control of it but in reality, there are so many factors that you need to take into account before you even start thinking about changing your life. You have to try and find the ways you have to try that will take the stress out of your life and reduce anxiety once and for all. Like we said, it is a gradual process, but change is inevitable. And you’re going to have to take the first step towards saving your integrity, productivity, and personality. Here are some of the things that you can begin today to bring the goodness back in your life.

How to de-stress and Reduce anxiety

Anger Management

The best way to get rid of anxiety and stress is to call a friend or a loved one and discuss how stressed you are. It’s true, letting out all the whining and complaining might actually make you feel better. Reaching out to friends will help you in a number of ways. You’ll be able to know things about their life, tell them about yours and maybe they can suggest things to you related to love, career or whatever it is that is stressing you and you can choose whether or not you want to follow their advice, but in truth, talking does help. Why pay thousands to therapists when you can let out your troubles to the people who actually care. If you think no one does, find someone you can rely on. Then tell them what’s bothering you.  Surround yourself with friends. Have fun with them, you’ll feel de-stressed.

Go on a vacation

Another thing you can do is to just leave it all behind and take a vacation. Pack your bag and travel to a place where you can find peace and light. Meditate or scream, your choice, but find yourself in the nature surrounding you. You’ll feel much better. Connect to nature and it will connect with you, taking all your troubles away. You feel more in control of your life when you take frequent vacations. This is what a study in Wisconsin said:

When you travel, you become less reluctant towards decision making and you feel more focused and relaxed.
Get into sports

Any sport. Literally. From football to boxing and MMA, sports bring a sense of belonging to your life. There are fights and matches to look forward to and your spirits get lifted when you are watching it either love or playing it. In both situations, you will feel active, the latter being the more important. Start running, fix your attic or basement. Hang a wall mounted punching bag and buy the nicest most affordable boxing gloves you can find and every morning or every evening, just go some rounds on the bag. It is not only a full body work out, dedicated to making you lose weight and make you more active, focused and stress-free.

Reduce anxiety
Be realistic

If you have a long list of ‘to-do’ things, you’re more likely to get depressed because not even half of them are getting anywhere. The best way to solve this issue is to set achievable goals and then prioritize them. In this way, you’ll be able to know what comes first and what you can put off till later. Start with the small things and gradually level up. Organizing yourself is the first step to being happier with what you have. Get rid of the junk in your house, get cleaning and be real. You know that there are things that you need to take care of and you need to be realistic towards the problems. You will see that if you are organized, you’re more relaxed. If you’re stressed, cleaning and organizing things actually helps. Do not set impossible goals. That will make you more annoyed and cranky which leads to being stressed and agitated.

Adapt and Evolve

This is the world. You should ‘understand’. After going through the list of things you need to do, you should see where you stand in this world and how you can be a good part of it. Stress is a part of this world. Understand your environment and make sure that whatever you do doesn’t add more stress to what you’re doing. Avoid the things and people and places that make you stressed. Slowly, you’ll get control of your life. Like actual control. Not the fake imaginary one. You’ll be able to adapt to the situation and then evolve into a better version of you. Be hopeful and be smart about your decisions.

Whatever you plan for yourself in the future, think about all the things you can achieve and think of the ways you can achieve them. Be positive and imagine. Your imagination will help you set more goals. More achievable goals. Communicate outside your circle and grow as a person, involve sports in your life, get into new sports, see how that makes you feel like. Organize yourself in a way that you are able to prioritize your work and your life’s chores and then adapt to the world so you stand out as a positive and productive part of it. You can do it. Stress and anxiety are two things you need to get rid of. And you can.
